An open competition for all members interested in trail running, especially for new members to build up their off-road running confidence and strengthen their ties with fellow club members. For 2026 we have selected races that are local, accessible and affordable.

Moving forward beyond 2026, we aim to include longer trail races that are representative of the classifications laid down by the International Trail Running Association (ITRA).

The top male and top female will win a trophy, retained for 12 months, with additional awards for age categories male and female at Senior, V40, V50, V60 and V70.

Best 3 (three) races from 8 (eight). It is not necessary to complete any of the longer trails races, but points will still be awarded.

VET 70 any two races to count.

First Clayton Male/Female in each race to be awarded 50 points, second 49 points, third 48 points etc.

In the event of a tie (more than one runner on the same points after the best three qualifying races, then the championship will be decided on head-to-head record. If there is still a tie or no head-to-head race took place between the two tied competitors, then the competition is jointly won.

Note:- If you leave the club before the presentation evening, you will forfeit any awards you have won

The Men’s Champion holds the Owl Trophy, and the Ladies’ Champion holds the Fox Trophy.
