The Parkrun Club Competition. The Val Lawson Trophy will be awarded to the member who has made the greatest improvement in their 5k parkrun Best Age Grading for the current year compared to the previous. As parkrun is a ‘timed run’ rather than a race, this competition is open to associate members as well as full members.
There is a single competition available to Ladies and Men, with the Val Lawson Trophy being awarded to the winner. Awards will also be made for second and third positions. The numeric difference between the Best Age Grading between the current year and previous year will be used to determine rankings. To be eligible for this competition at least six parkruns must be completed (not necessarily as a club member) in the year being contended.
