Briony Holt once again performed brilliantly in the latest BOFRA junior fell race. In a field of 52 runners Briony put in a great performance to finish 2nd girl and 12th position overall.

The juniors were out in force at Saturday’s Parkrun with 19 taking part in the 5k run. PB’s were posted by George Pier, Jackson Mckay, Ryan Clarke, Alice Pier, Beth Quinn, Daniel Bradley and Annabel Wilcock. There were also good consistent performances from Jordan McDonald, Curtis Holt, Kenan Eti, Tom Bradley, Eleanor Root, Harry Mason, Simon Wilshaw, Adam Stevenson, Millie Stubbs, Anna Ashworth, Keira Stevenson and Grace Root.

What a great turnout from the juniors with 19 taking part in the final summer series race at Widdop. Once again we saw some outstanding performances which resulted in 9 medals being won.
In the U8 race Grace Root finished 2nd girl to claim silver.
The U10 race saw a Clayton double gold with Jackson Mckay 1st boy and Ella Dorrington 1st girl. There were also good performances from Adam and Keira Stevenson, Roanna Holdsworth and Molly Hesketh.
Briony Holt was 1st girl and gold medal winner in the U12 race and also set a course record with team mate Eleanor Root finishing 2nd girl to claim silver. New to the junior ranks Daniel Bradley ran well to finish 4th boy.
The U14 race saw six juniors competing with Kenan Eti 3rd boy taking the bronze medal closely followed by Tom Bradley 4th, Simon Wilshaw 5th, Ryan Clarke 7th and Curtis Holt 8th. Alice Pier again finished 2nd girl to win silver.
Finally in the U16 race bronze went to Jordan McDonald for 3rd boy with George Pier 4th. Beth Quinn produced a strong finish to claim 2nd girl and silver.
It was great to see so many of you racing and the atmosphere at the presentation was something to behold with each Clayton junior receiving a very loud cheer from their team mates when being presented with their medal. A strong bond has developed between the juniors which is really great to see.

Well done again to Briony and Curtis Holt for another great performance at the Kirkby Gala. Briony was 1st Girl in the U12 race while Curtis finished 6th in the U14 race. Well done to BOTH of you.
3 juniors have taken part in race 3 of the Astley Park junior trail series in Chorley. George Pier finished in 3rd place (3rd U17 Boy), Tom Bradley 9th (3rd U13 Boy) and Alice Pier 2nd Girl (1st U15 Girl). Well done to ALL of you.
2 of our U15 boys have been in track action both representing their school. Curtis Holt running in the Pendle schools 800m put in a great performance to finish 1st.
Alexander Townrow was competing in the Blackburn inter schools 1500m and also put in a great performance to secure 2nd place. Well done to BOTH of you.
Well done to our the three junior relay teams who performed so well at Thursday’s trail relay at Witton Park. The junior teams were competing against adult teams from various local clubs with many teams containing very experienced runners. Our junior A team of George Pier, Kenan Eti and Jordan McDonald produced a great performance to finish in 14th place in a time of 53.39mins.The B team containing Curtis Holt, Alexander Townrow and Tom Bradley finished 23rd with a time of 56.30 with the C team of Ryan Clarke, Beth Quinn and Alice Pier coming home in 37th place with a time of 01.01.43. Well done to ALL of you.
Saturday June 1st saw the juniors again take part in the Parkrun at Towneley with many posting impressive pb’s over the 5k course. The juniors have been putting in an enormous amount of hard work at training each week which is showing with their times rapidly improving. Jordan McDonald was the first Clayton male to finish in a great time of 18:53 mins. Briony Holt aged only 11 years finished an amazing 24th and first female overall in a time of 21.14 mins. Well done to ALL of you for your efforts.
