This trophy is awarded using the same points system as the palladium trophy, but is for “AL” category fell races only. The final top 5 for this award for 2013 are:

Fell Palladium update, and last call for your fell race results!

The end of the year will be upon us soon, and I have been updating the Fell Palladium competition results. While only people who have finished 6 or more FRA races will be eligible for the competition, I’ve included the results for everyone at the moment. So, if you have done any races that aren’t on my list, let me know – it may gain those precious extra points to get you that trophy, or at least give you some bragging rights over your peers!

The two top-spots are looking unassailable, with our captains leading, but there is hot competition for some of the minor placings and age-category awards.

Fell Palladium Points Update

The points tables have been updated. The two top spots are looking relatively comfortable for our captains, although there is hot competition for one or two age categories. As usual, the list of all races that have been included is there – let me know if I’ve not got the results for any eligible races you may have done, even if they’re from January!

Updated Palladium Points Tables

The Palladium Points tables for fell races have been updated. Out two captains, Dave Motley and Jean Brown are still leading by example, both having significant leads. There are a few more races to add, and please let me know of any that have been missed.

Palladium Points tables – updated

The Palladium Points tables have been updated. There are no significant changes at the top of the table with our captains still leading the way. As ever, contact Andy Brown if you have results that aren’t included.

Palladium Points Competition

The club Palladium Points fell results are now on the site (here). Captains Dave Motley and Jean Brown are currently leading. The format is similar to the old message boards – the ladies results, the results for the men, and a list of all the races included. Please email me (fellrunners@gmail.com) if there are races you have done but have not been included – this will also ensure that the results appear in the newsletter. Updates to the tables will be sporadic!

Mid-Lancs Cross Country, 12th January

Another fine, if slightly cold day for a Mid Lancs XC. We certainly have been very lucky this season that all the fixtures have defied the rain. It was a very muddy course that greeted the runners at Hyndburn but that did not slow down those who ran. A good turnout by the juniors and some very good individual performances set the benchmark for the seniors. Laura Hesketh ran really well and just missed the top ten in the ladies and Brett Holdsworth also put in a good performance to lead the men home. A big thank you to those who ran and hope to see you all and who knows a few more at the next one at Lancaster University 9th February so put it in your diaries. Set aside personnel targets for a day and come and support the club. You never know you might enjoy it.

Stanbury Splash

Six of you managed to get over to Haworth, which is six more than I expected given the  weather! Well done to all of you, the results (pdf) are on the Woodentops website.

A special mention to Ella who unfortunately got started in the wrong race! She ran strongly and would have placed well in the u10 so better luck for next time.
