The passion of fell running flows heavily through the foundations of Clayton-le-Moors Harriers. We lead the way in Lancashire fell running knowledge, staging several legendary local races primarily on Pendle Hill. Our team managers will happily answer any questions you may have about fell running, and will give guidance on the Safety Requirements for Fell Races.
Relay Races
As well as organising training sessions and race recces, Clayton-le-Moors Harriers also compete in the Calderdale Way Relay, the Hodgson Brothers Mountain Relay, and the British Fell Relay Championships. We enter several teams in each event, so there is a great opportunity for you to get involved. Please watch out for Facebook posts or contact your Team Manager if you want to run in any of these relay events.
Our members compete against the best in the country in the English and British Fell Championships. Most of these championship races are held away from Lancashire, giving our members the opportunity to enjoy quality racing at social weekends away.
Club Competitions
The Club Fell Championship consists of twelve races, with a member’s best four races counting. In the Club Fell Championship age category awards are available as well as an overall trophy for best man and best lady fell runner in the club. There’s also the Pendle Aggregate Trophy, which consists of seven races; and the John North Trophy, in which points are awarded for competing in any category A long fell race.
The final Fell Palladium competition was held in 2015.
